Brom

Brom

God of forging, metalworking, engineering, craft, and the order made possible by skilled hands.

Overview

Brom is the god of forging, metalworking, engineering, and creative skill. Smiths, builders, artificers, masons, armorers, and inventors honor him whenever raw material becomes useful beauty.

Divine Role

Beral made Brom to teach mortals metallurgy and engineering. His faith treats craft as sacred discipline: a well-made hinge, bridge, blade, plow, or engine can bring order and safety into a dangerous world.

Brom is passionate and exacting, but also playful. Tales credit him with impossible contraptions, clever machines, and jokes built into devices that still work centuries later.

Clergy and Rites

Brom's rites take place in forges, workshops, foundries, and construction sites. Offerings include metal, tools, jewelry, and the first finished work from a major commission.

His clergy bless difficult projects, sing work songs, dance around anvils, and ask for skill rather than miracles. Theft of craft knowledge, shoddy work passed off as mastery, and sabotage of honest labor are grave offenses.

Campaign Use

  • Use Brom when a crafted object carries lineage, faith, or political importance.
  • Let temples of Brom function as workshops, guildhalls, courts, and arsenals.
  • Make a masterpiece require rare materials, moral compromise, or cooperation between rival craftspeople.
