Maeve is goddess of music, the arts, beauty, passion, desire, peace, and harmony. Artists, musicians, poets, lovers, performers, diplomats, and makers of beautiful things honor her.
Divine Role
Beral created Maeve to awaken creativity and passion in mortal souls. Her golden lyre symbolizes music and art, but her faith teaches that beauty is not decoration. Beauty can reconcile, inspire, seduce, reveal, and sometimes disarm violence before it begins.
Maeveites believe beauty exists in all things and that creating or appreciating art can become a path toward the divine.
Church of Beauty
Maeve's temples and shrines are designed to inspire devotion through beauty. Her priests and priestesses, called Bearers of Beauty, manage sacred spaces and lead ceremonies of music, dance, poetry, painting, and celebration.
Her church is not based on lineage. Leaders are chosen for demonstrated artistic excellence and their ability to inspire love of beauty in others.
