Odine

Odine

Goddess of sea, sky, wind, tides, storms, sailors, fishermen, and the balance of calm and fury.

Overview

Odine is goddess of the sea and sky, guardian of sailors, fishermen, tides, winds, rain, and storms. Her name is spoken in gratitude for calm waters and in fear when the horizon darkens.

Divine Role

Beral created Odine to govern the balance between ocean depths and open sky. She commands wind and tide, protects those who depend on the sea, and embodies both serene grace and destructive tempest.

Her realm is often imagined as an enchanted underwater kingdom where sea creatures answer her will.

Clergy and Rites

Odine's clerics wear amulets marked with waves. Fishing families and sailors call on her through seasonal rites, voyage blessings, and offerings cast into water.

A baptismal rite marks children born into seafaring families: a shell is thrown into the sea in Odine's name. The Festival of Storms, held on the winter solstice, asks her protection through the dangerous season.

Campaign Use

  • Use Odine whenever travel depends on weather, tide, and courage.
  • Let her blessings guide ships, reveal sea omens, or calm impossible storms.
  • Make her fury feel natural, divine, and politically disruptive all at once.
