Tel'Dovan

Tel'Dovan

A complex elven realm of competing houses, many cities, and refined rivalries.

Overview

In the mists of the ancient past, the elven realm of Tel'Dovan was a land steeped in turmoil and strife. The noble houses, each driven by their own ambitions and desires, were locked in a perpetual cycle of conflict, the once-proud elven kingdom mired in the throes of civil war. It was in these turbulent times that a young leader, Gaeladrian Korianthos, would rise to prominence and forever change the course of history.

Gaeladrian Korianthos was a beacon of wisdom and courage amidst the chaos. Even in his youth, he demonstrated an innate talent for warfare and military strategy, earning the respect and allegiance of those who once sought his downfall. With unwavering determination, he united the warring noble houses under his rule, ushering in an era of peace and prosperity for the beleaguered elves of Tel'Dovan.

Under King Korianthos' reign, Tel'Dovan emerged as a force to be reckoned with, its elven archers unparalleled in their mastery of the bow and arrow. The king himself honed the tactical acumen of his military commanders, guiding them in the art of devising cunning and innovative battle plans. The once-fragmented kingdom was transformed into a bastion of safety and wealth, where noble houses thrived and the people knew a harmony long thought lost.

Yet, as the human race began to spread across the continent, the elves of Tel'Dovan grew wary of this new potential threat. King Korianthos, ever the pragmatic leader, recognized that the elves were vastly outnumbered by the humans. Undaunted, he devised a daring and unconventional strategy: sending small, elite units deep into enemy territory to sow discord and chaos.

The king's gambit proved successful, forcing the humans to wage war on multiple fronts. However, after years of relentless conflict, the elven forces began to suffer significant losses. King Korianthos, ever perceptive, saw that continuing the fight against the humans was a futile endeavor. Thus, he made a decision that would send shockwaves throughout elven society: to cede elven lands to the humans.

In an unprecedented move, King Gaeladrian Korianthos of Tel'Dovan initiated the Hundred Nights' Capitulations, driven by a desire to ensure the safety and security of his kingdom. To the south of the elven realm, the Peaks of the Draken had become infested with menacing creatures, and the elven military was stretched thin by the protracted war against the human kingdom of Castell. King Korianthos believed that establishing peace and cooperation with the humans would not only protect his people from external threats but also aid in rebuilding the elven military.

Furthermore, King Korianthos envisioned a future where humans and elves could work together, advancing the fields of medicine and technology and fostering a more just and equitable society. Though the kingdom of Tel'Areth vehemently opposed The Capitulations of the Hundred Nights, King Korianthos remained steadfast in his conviction that it was the best course of action to protect his people and preserve peace within the region.
